Murrurundi Mens Shed Inc.

Monday 12-10-2026 12:30pm
COME AND JOIN one of the most progressive sheds in the Hunter Valley. Murrurundi Mens Shed is a member of the Australia-wide Mens Shed group. The main aim is to foster a community-based, non-commercial organisation primarily established to improve members' health, relieve social isolation and provide a safe, friendly environment to work on projects.

The Murrurundi branch was opened in 2014 and has been meeting and working continuously. The organisation is open to members of the community with a yearly joining fee of $35 and a morning fee of $2 per meeting day to assist in canteen costs.

We meet every Monday and Thursday 9-12:00am with a break at 10:00 for a "cupa" and visitors are welcome to come along and just have a chat.

Sanding blues

The days of sanding away to strip down objects has changed. Today we have lasers to do the hard work. Murrruundi Mens Shed has purchased a paint stripping lazer (from China of course) which makes wood and metal paint striping a flashy success

The shed is situated in the Rosedale horse complex behind the oval on the New England Highay (Mayne Street). Contact numbers include secretary Des Dugan 0418 211 404 and Treasurer Peter Sawyer 0459 148 737. Our postal address is PO Box 93 Murrurundi NSW 2338 and our email address is mcmsuhv@gmail.com.
